LA STORIA

La storia è molto semplice. Il film racconta uno dopo l’altro sette provini di una stessa attrice per altrettanti personaggi. Come le virtù o i peccati capitali, come i cieli nel Corano, come i doni dello Spirito Santo, come i chakra e come gli dei della felicità nel Buddhismo o come i magnifici sette: sette provini su parte. La stessa attrice si misura senza interruzione con sette personaggi naturalmente molto diversi tra loro. D’invenzione, storici, in costume, in abiti moderni, in uno studio, all’aperto, in italiano, in francese o in inglese per sette (im)probabili film. Il cinema, poi, non è forse stato definito come la settima arte? Una sola attrice, sette finzioni senza interruzione per raccontare che l’essere umano, sempre e comunque, gioca di maschera per capire il mondo in cui vive. Il film, componendo un ritratto al femminile, suggerisce che la sorte del pianeta sarebbe bene affidarla alla donna, in un ri-equilibrio fondamentale tra maschile e femminile.

ARTESTUDIO

ArteStudio è un’associazione culturale riconosciuta che lavora professionalmente nel campo artistico e del sociale da trent’anni. La produzione teatrale è caratterizzata dall’intreccio tra la rilettura dei grandi classici e l’esigenza di comprendere le questioni del nostro tempo. ArteStudio, oltre a collaborare con i più importanti teatri di Roma e d’Italia, realizza attività artistiche in ambienti extrateatrali quali le carceri, i Centri di Igiene Mentale, le ASL, i centri di accoglienza per rifugiati, le zone di guerra. Il teatro diviene così strumento di recupero e di passaggio per la riacquisizione della propria identità in relazione al mondo circostante. Viene così a delinearsi uno stretto connubio tra la cultura ed il sociale con particolare riferimento alla cooperazione internazionale, i giovani e i migranti. Obiettivo di ArteStudio è contribuire all’integrazione all’interno della società delle fasce più deboli attraverso gli strumenti offerti dall’attività artistica.

Riccardo Vannuccini è regista teatrale, videomaker, autore, attore e studioso delle problematiche dello spettacolo, laureato in Storia del Teatro a Roma. Ha studiato Composizione con Domenico Guaccero e ha debuttato in teatro con un suo spettacolo nel 1978 al festival dell’Avanguardia a Roma in cui erano presenti tra gli altri Carmelo Bene e Leo De Berardinis. Ha collaborato con le riviste "Scena" e "Sipario" e ha lavorato al teatro e all’opera con Vittorio Gelmetti, Luca Ronconi, Peter Stein, Renato Mambor. In particolare con Stein ha seguito la messa in scena dell’“Oresteia” a Ostia Antica. Con Luca Ronconi ha seguito prima un laboratorio a Spoleto nel 1982, poi "Ignorabimus" di Holz a Prato e "Le merchand de Venise" di Shakespeare a Parigi con la Comedie Francaise, scrivendo due saggi. Ancora con Ronconi è stato assistente all’Opera di Roma per il Demofonte. Ha diretto un laboratorio teatrale presso il DAMS dell'Università Roma Tre, de La Sapienza, dell'Università di Beirut. Riccardo Vannuccini è direttore artistico di Artestudio, compagnia già riconosciuta dal MIBACT e collabora con Cane Pezzato e Le scarpe di Van Gogh. Ha esordito al cinema nel 2014 con "Scimmia, Autobiografia di R.C". lungometraggio che ha partecipato a numerosi concorsi cinematografici, vincendo il premio come "opera originale" all'Overlook Festival Cinema Avvenire di Roma.

Greta Bellamacina è un poetessa, attrice e regista londinese. Ha debuttato come attrice in “Harry Potter e il calice di fuoco” all'età di tredici anni. Si è formata presso la RADA prima di dedicarsi alla B.A. al King's College di Londra. E' stata nominata tra i giovani Poeti laureati di Londra. Nel 2015 ha curato "On Love", una raccolta di poesie d'amore britanniche contemporanee. Ha poi pubblicato “Perishing Tame”, una meditazione su maternità, identità femminile e amore e "Points for time in the sky" una raccolta di poesie in collaborazione con Robert Montgomery. Nel 2017 ha curato "Smear" un'antologia di poetesse contemporanee. Come regista ha scritto e recitato in "A Love Letter to San Francisco" e "A Surrealist Account After Dark". Ha realizzato "The Last Cantos", un cortometraggio sulla figlia novantenne di Ezra Pound. Il suo lungometraggio d'esordio "The Safe House: a Decline of Ideas" è uscito nei cinema del Regno Unito a maggio 2016. Il film è una lettera d'amore alle biblioteche pubbliche e un vivido appello contro la loro chiusura, con Stephen Fry, John Cooper Clarke, Irvine Welsh. Nel 2017 ha realizzato il cortometraggio "Myths Not For Sale". Attualmente sta collaborando come scrittrice con l'attore regista Bonnie Wright su una serie di cortometraggi. Come modella ha partecipato a varie campagne per Stella McCartney, Burberry, Shrimps e John Smedley, celebrando il suo approccio femminista alla moda. Greta e il suo lavoro sono apparsi su The Guardian, The Times, Dazed & Confused, Interview Magazine, Vogue UK, Elle UK. Ha eseguito le sue poesie su CNN e BBC. La rivista "Interview" di Andy Warhol afferma che Greta sta ottenendo il plauso della critica per la sua capacità di tradurre la classica forma poetica all’interno del panorama creativo contemporaneo.

Do you want to actively participate in the production of a real movie? Join the team of the second work by Riccardo Vannuccini. An avant-garde and nonconformist opera like no other, easy to realize and really inexpensive. A totally distinctive project standing out from among other movies in current film production. That's why we need your help! You will contribute to the creation of a unique work, a Godardian opera, a breath-taking film.

THE STORY

The story is very simple. The film tells about seven auditions of an actress playing seven different characters. Seven like the virtues or the deadly sins, like the heavens in the Quran, like the gifts of the Holy Spirit, like the chakras and the gods of happiness in Buddhism or the magnificent seven: seven auditions for seven stories. The same actress challenges without interruption with seven dissimilar characters. Invented Fictional, historical, costume drama, in modern clothes, in a studio, outdoors, in Italian, in French or in English for seven (im)probable films. A single actress, seven roles to show that the human being, always and in any case, puts on a mask to survive and understand the world in which we live. After all, the cinema is defined the seventh art, isn’t it? The film, by depicting a portray women’s world, suggests that the fate of the planet should be entrusted to women, in a fundamental re-equilibrium between male and female.

THE ASSOCIATION

ARTESTUDIO

ArteStudio is a recognized cultural association working professionally in the artistic and social field for thirty years. The theatrical production is characterized by the intertwining of the reinterpretation of the great classics and the need to understand the issues of our time. ArteStudio collaborates with the most important theaters in Rome and Italy and realizes artistic activities also in other settings such as prisons, Mental Health Centers, Local Health Authority, refugee shelters, war zones. Thus, the theater becomes an instrument of recovering and regaining identity in relation to the surrounding world. In this way, a close connection between culture and society emerges, with particular reference to international cooperation, young people and migrants. ArteStudio's goal is to contribute to the social integration of the weak sections through the tools offered by the artistic activity.

THE DIRECTOR

RICCARDO VANNUCCINI

Riccardo Vannuccini DP is a theatre director, filmmaker, author, actor and scholar in dynamics of the show. Graduated in History of Theatre in Rome, he studied Composition with Domenico Guaccero. He debuted in theatre in 1978 with his show at the Avant-garde Festival in Rome where, among others, there were Carmelo Bene and Leo De Berardinis. He cooperated with the magazines “Scena” and “Sipario” and both in theatre and at the Opera with Vittorio Gelmetti, Luca Ronconi and Peter Stein. With Stein in particular, he collaborated on the staging of "Oresteia" in Ostia Antica. With Luca Ronconi he collaborated first in a workshop in 1982 in Spoleto, than in the writing of two essays on "Ignorabimus" by Holz in Prato and "Le merchand de Venice" by Shakespeare in Paris with the Comedie Fracaise. With Ronconi, he was also assistant at the Opera of Rome for "Demofonte". He led a theatre workshop at the Directing Institution at the DAMS of Roma Tre University and Sapienza University and Beirut University.. Riccardo Vannuccini is the artistic director of recognised theatre company Artestudio, and also collaborates with the companies Cane pezzato and Le scarpe di Van Gogh. He debuted at the cinema in 2014 with "Scimmia, Autobiography of R.C" that has participated in numerous film competitions, winning the prize as an "original work" at the Overlook Festival Cinema Avvenire in Rome.

GRETA BELLAMACINA

Greta is a poet, actress and filmmaker. She was born in London and made her acting debut in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the age of thirteen. She trained at RADA before going on do a B.A. in English at King’s College London. She was short-listed as the Young Poet Laureate of London. In 2015 she edited ‘On Love’, a survey of contemporary British love poetry. She also published ‘Perishing Tame’, a dazzling meditation on motherhood, female identity, ennui and love and a collection of collaborative poetry with Robert Montgomery, ‘Points for Time in the Sky’. In 2017 she edited 'Smear' a anthology of contemporary feminist poets. As a filmmaker, she wrote and starred in ‘A Love Letter to San Francisco’ and 'A Surrealist Account After Dark'. She made ‘The Last Cantos’, a narrative short film portrait of Ezra Pound’s 90 year-old daughter. Her debut feature length documentary ‘The Safe House: a Decline of Ideas’ had its UK cinema release in May 2016. The film is a love letter to public libraries and a vivid appeal against their closure, it features Stephen Fry, John Cooper Clarke, Irvine Welsh. In 2017 she released the short film 'Myths Not For Sale'. She is currently collaborating as a writer with actor/director Bonnie Wright on a series of short films. As a model she has featured in various fashion campaigns celebrating her feminist approach to fashion including campaigns for Stella Mccartney, Burberry, Shrimps and John Smedley. Greta and her work have featured in The Guardian, The Times,Dazed & Confused, Interview Magazine, Vogue UK, Elle UK.She has performed her poetry on CNN e BBC. Andy Warhol's 'Interview' magazine says Greta, “is garnering critical acclaim for her ability to translate the classic poetic form into the contemporary creative landscape."
