Buon ascolto!

------------------------------------------------------------

Recording Johann Sebastian Bach's “Goldberg Variations” is an important point of arrival for a harpsichordist; it means facing one of the greatest masterpieces of music, concentrating technical skills, great interpretative refinement, physical and mental concentration in the performance of a true musical monument. It also represents a great starting point, because the variations are a journey into the stylistic and inventive possibilities of an author, and in this case the journey leads to a cyclical return to the origins, to the amazement of the listener.

Michele Barchi's interpretation is refined, suggestive, rigorous and simple in its development; Michele cares about fidelity to the score, to language, he never stands between the Music and the listener, but he is their servant, with great clarity of thought, with extreme refinement of accents.

This recording project, strongly desired by the label RedDress, intends to offer the public all the excitement of a memorable, unique interpretation of the highest artistic and philological value.

Enjoy it!
