Nel cuore di Padova, l'orologio di una piscina comunale segna lo scadere del conto alla rovescia: è l'ora del tramonto, il rito sta per cominciare. Quando scende il buio, venti sacerdotesse di bianco vestite percorrono Prato della Valle, osservate dalle minacciose statue degli uomini importanti che hanno attraversato Padova, e si fermano esattamente al centro, dove è posto un piedistallo vuoto.
Lì le sacerdotesse celebrano un inno al piacere e alla vendetta contro la società patriarcale che avrà effetti sulle vite quotidiane di ognuna di loro e culminerà, qualche giorno dopo, nel round finale, sull'onirico ring di un club techno…

SUL FILM

Quando la volontà, stanca di ricercare giustizia, lascia il posto alla rivoluzione del Mostruoso Femminile, inizia la storia di Ava, Era, Ida e delle altre ventuno sacerdotesse padovane.
Questo cortometraggio vuole indagare la deumanizzazione forzata dei corpi oppressi, la connotazione politica degli spazi urbani e il desiderio transgenerazionale di autodeterminazione.
Si compone di un'indagine quasi documentaristica delle vite quotidiane delle sacerdotesse, degli ambienti in cui vivono e lavorano, e di come in questi ambienti si riveli il potere nascosto e al tempo stesso manifesto del patriarcato. È però anche un divertissement, una narrazione esorcizzante dai toni onirici e vibranti.
A partire da questi temi emerge la necessità di un grido collettivo che invochi la riappropriazione di molteplici identità a cui non serve legittimazione esterna, per rivendicare un posto per tutt* in una città che si è contribuito e si contribuisce ancora oggi a costruire.

Il cast e la crew di NOBODY sono composti da una maggioranza di donne* e persone queer, soggettività spesso invisibilizzate in ogni ambito della società, e quindi anche nell’ambiente cinematografico. Il tuo aiuto ci permetterà di  prenderci cura di tutti gli aspetti legati alla produzione e alla distribuzione di un cortometraggio che sarà occasione importante di partecipazione alla vita collettiva della città.

ENGLISH VERSION

In the heart of Padua, the clock of a municipal swimming pool marks the end of the countdown: it's sunset time, the ritual is about to begin. When darkness falls, twenty-four priestesses dressed in white walk along Prato della Valle, observed by the menacing statues of the important men who passed through Padua, and stop exactly in the center, where an empty pedestal is placed. There, the priestesses celebrate a hymn to pleasure and revenge against the patriarchal society which will have effects on the daily lives of each of them and will culminate, a few days later, in the final round, in the dreamlike ring of a techno club…

ABOUT THE FILM
When the will, tired of seeking justice, gives way to the revolution of the MonstrousFeminine, the story of Ava, Era, Ida and the other twenty-one Paduan priestesses begins. This short film aims to investigate the forced dehumanization of oppressed bodies, the political connotation of urban spaces and the transgenerational desire for self-determination. It consists of an almost documentary investigation of the daily lives of priestesses, of the environments in which they live and work, and of how in these environments the hidden and at the same time manifest power of patriarchy is revealed. However, it is also at the same time a divertissement, an exorcising narrative with dreamlike and vibrant tones. Starting from these themes emerges the need for a collective cry that invokes the reappropriation of multiple identities that do not need external legitimation, to claim a place for everyone in a city that we have contributed and still contribute today to building.

The cast and crew of NOBODY are made up of a majority of women* and queer people, subjectivities often invisibilised in every area of society, and therefore also in the cinematographic environment.
