Sinossi

Un affermato psicoterapeuta, che pochi anni prima ha perso tragicamente moglie e figlia, racconta in un libro ciò che ha imparato da quella perdita. “La morte non separa". Questo il titolo. Una giovane donna, colpita da quella lettura, lo cerca per cominciare con lui una terapia. Apparentemente. Ma cosa vorrà veramente da lui?

In un tempo sospeso nella rigorosa cornice del setting psicoanalitico, si incontrano un uomo a cui il passato ha spezzato la vita, e una donna il cui futuro è una grande incognita.

 Personaggi

Livio Albani :  Psicoterapeuta professore e scrittore 

Non sarà il transfert amoroso a guidarli ma i due personaggi mostreranno che solo affidando all'altro la parte più preziosa ed intima di sé, ci si può salvare.

Il progetto

Il progetto di realizzazione del cortometraggio e poi del lungometraggio nasce dalla scrittura del corto dal titolo "Il quadro alle tue spalle”, durante il quale i due protagonisti, Livio, professore psicoterapeuta, e Yerma, artista trentenne, conoscendosi hanno l’occasione di incontrare ciò che la vita sembrava volergli togliere. Ma a volte le storie non si concludono quando decide l’autore, sembrano davvero avere una vita propria, spingono per avere altro tempo, altra vita, cercano altre parole per le voci dei personaggi.

Ed è così che dal cortometraggio si è sviluppata la scrittura del lungometraggio. Come accade? Yerma, in una delle sue prime battute, risponde così al prof. Livio Albani, suo analista:

Livio (deciso) Perché viene da me?

Yerma(provocatoria) Per rivedere il quadro alle sue spalle.

La sua risposta (da cui il titolo dell’opera), introduce il nucleo narrativo da cui prenderà l’avvio lo svolgersi di una doppia storia. Non sveleremo ora, ovviamente, come questo dettaglio darà vita al racconto ma la trama e tutto ciò che ne segue nasce da un flusso necessario e imprevisto, è la storia stessa che, man mano che procede, ricostruisce passo dopo passo l'intero quadro giungendo ad un finale inaspettato… inaspettato anche per chi lo ha scritto. 

Come saranno spesi i soldi e tempi di lavorazione

Appena raggiunto il budget sarà possibile completare il cast tecnico e in un mese circa verrà realizzato il cortometraggio.

Synopsis

A successful psychotherapist that has lost his wife and daughter few years before, is the author of a novel about what he has learned from his tragic loss. The book is called “The death that doesn’t divide” A young woman, charmed by that read, contacts him to start her psychotherapy. This is what is seems. But what is she really after?

In the suspended time of the rigorous psychoanalytical setting a man whose past has broken his life meets a woman whose future is a great unknown.

The project 

The project for the realisation of the short film first and the feature film thereafter was born from the writing of a short film entitled “The picture at your back” where the two main characters Livio, a professor and psychotherapist and Yerma, a thirty years old artist, knowing each other have the possibility to explore what their life seems willing to take them away. But sometimes the stories do not end when the author decides so.  They request more time, another life. They look for more words for their characters.

And it is so that the writing of the short film has developed in the feature film. How did it happen? Yerma, in one of the first lines answers like this to Professor Livio Albani, her psychoanalyst:

Livio  Why are you here?

Yerma To look again at the picture at your back.

Her answer (from this the title of the work), introduces the heart of the plot, the beginning of a double story We are not going to obviously unveil how this detail is going to influence the story but the plot and everything that follows, begins from an unforeseeable and necessary flow. It is the story itself that step by step recreates the whole picture up until a totally unexpected ending, unexpected also for who has written it.

How the budget will be invested and processing times

As soon as the budget is reached, it will be possible to complete the technical casting and in a more or less a month the short film will be shot.
