David is a Ghanaian student that is willing to study a master in International Sport Development and Politics at the German Sport University in Cologne. Before going to Germany he has to proof to the German embassy a deposit of 10332€; unfortunately, due to coronavirus, his sponsors could not cover the whole amount. Thus, he needs to raise 8000€ in order to be enrolled in the master, otherwise he will not be able to participate.
The raised money will start a scholarship dedicated to students who might go through similar hardship.
Here is his message/Di seguito il suo messaggio:
I am highly motivated, focused and hardworking individual, who has recently completed my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). With a first class honors degree achievement in sports coaching, I am aware that the degree does not guarantee me of achieving my goal of becoming a Sports Development expert, but it provides a stepping stone towards achieving this. I am hoping to use my acquired knowledge to further develop my analytical skills and knowledge in a practical and fast-paced university environment. In addition, I possess excellent inter-personal skills and have demonstrated proficiency in coaching football by managing a second division club and getting them promoted to a higher level during my internship as a sports coach and winning bronze medals for University of Ghana football teams during my period of National Service.
I have always acknowledged the fact that I can be a very good listener and a good communicator which is an important quality needed to be a leader in sports. I am seeking to further my education in the field of sports development, management and governance (politics) at the German Sport University Cologne (currently enrolled) to build upon a keen interest ultimately starting a career as a lecturer in a university. The intended career goal is to become a fully-qualified and experienced teacher and professional in the sports industry, with the longer-term aspiration to contribute to the development of sports locally and internationally. Having missed out on same admission in the 2019/2020 academic year due to inadequate funds to satisfy the German Embassy Student Visa blocked account requirements, I am blessed with the opportunity again but facing same issue of my inability funding the the blocked account as required by the German Embassy.
I am therefore seeking assistance in donations to enable me raise the remaining €8000 needed to complete the blocked account deposit in order to pursue this program which is of much essence to the sports development agenda of the local society and the world at large.
This funds (€8000) once realized, would serve as a loan to be paid back after completing the two years postgraduate study to become an alumni scholarship to support future Master of Arts in Sports Development and Politics students who might go through similar hardship.
