Michele Carreca è un liutista italiano, entusiasta interprete sia del repertorio solistico che della musica di insieme.
Ha tenuto concerti, corsi e master class in Italia, Algeria, Austria, Azerbaigian, Belgio, Brasile, Canada, Danimarca, Germania, Gran Bretagna, Lituania, Malta, Polonia, Romania, Russia, Spagna, Svezia, Siria, Stati Uniti, Ucraina.
Co-fondatore dell'ensemble La Selva, ha inciso come solista per Sony-DHM, Ayros, Da Vinci Classics, Continuo Records, mentre in gruppi di musica da camera ha inciso per Deutsche Grammophon,  CPO, Brilliant Classics, Classic Voice-Antiqua, Rai Trade, Urania Records.
Insegna liuto al Conservatorio A. Scarlatti di Palermo e all'Istituto Musicale G. Braga di Teramo.

Michele Carreca is an Italian lute player, enthusiast interpreter of both solo and ensemble repertoires.
He gave concerts, courses and masterclasses in Italy, Algeria, Azerbaigian, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Syria, United States, Ukrane.
Co-founder if the ensemble La Selva, he recorded as a soloist for Sony-DHM, Ayros, Da Vinci Classics, Continuo Records, in ensemble for Deutsche Grammophon, CPO, Brilliant Classics, Classic Voice-Antiqua, Rai Trade, Urania Records.
He teaches lute and early plucked instruments at Conservatorio A. Scarlatti in Palermo and at Istituto Statale Musicale G. Braga in Teramo.
