I read this short novel from Margareth Oliphant and I had this idea about making a fan movie of it. Myself I'm studying English literature at university and I'm at my third year. I love every kind of art, especially cinema and literature and my dream job is to write screenplays from books, better if in a foreign language. I'm about to end my studies at university and I have to expose a research in October: everyone here in Italy just write something about a certain topic, but I thought it would have been awesome if I would researched about the transposition from book to screen but not just telling, also showing the results of my work. The project Oliphant's short novel gave me the inspiration of filming something totally different from every kind of production in Italy: something independent and without spending money. I have so many problems in setting all the steps to the movie, I can't leave my town for finding the best set, I can't pay any actor or assistant. I thought about developing a low cost project: I'm doing all the job, my friends will play the characters, I'll find the best set I can get for free and I will do this with all the passion I can give. But my last big issue is the recording camera and it's what I'm asking you: found my project to give me and my crew a camera to record the movie and we will give you the best we can do. It will be the start of my carreer, I hope, it will help me graduating at university and maybe getting in a postgraduate course in England to realize the dream. It's a small step, but it's all I need to go on dreaming. What you can do! It would be awesome if you donate but it would be also terrific if you spread the word! Better if in England, where the novel comes from. Please, help me in any way you can, giving to me and to Italy the chance to evaluate more the meaning of culture.
