“Un piccolo thriller che racconta la violenza sulle donne”

SOAP è un cortometraggio che vuole usare il mezzo cinematografico per non smette di raccontare un argomento sempre e di più attuale come quello della violenza sulle donne.

Questo cortometraggio è ispirato a fatti realmente accaduti all’inizio del novecento in Italia, ovvero alle prime serial killer italiane, delle lavandaie che uccidevano uomini e con il loro grasso ne facevano sapone.

(Un picco appunto: inserire lo spunto del sapone fatto col grasso non vuol essere assolutamente un richiamo al film Fight Club, poiché la cronaca dell’epoca racconta proprio questo.)

Il perché di questo crowdfunding: In Italia, non vuol essere una critica, è molto difficile farsi produrre un lungometraggio, un corto lo è ancor di più, poiché non è preso molto in considerazione come forma artistica di racconto.

Il vostro supporto ci aiuterebbe a sostenere i vari costi di produzione: dal noleggio delle attrezzature, alla crew, agli attori al considerare i costi di iscrizione ai vari festival. Su quest’ultimo, appunto, questo corto metraggio sarà iscritto sia ad importanti festival, che a quelli minori e che, tramite questi possa essere in seguito divulgato, così anche il messaggio, che con umiltà vogliamo trasmettere.

In fine il vostro sostegno sarà ricompensato, in funzione del vostro contributo. Abbiamo cercato un certo equilibrio tra costi per le ricompense (spedizione compresa) e il margine per il progetto. Ci auguriamo che possano essere comunque di vostro gradimento. (Piccolo appunto: nel crowdfunding non sono previste ricompense in denaro)

In fine: Alleghiamo il soggetto del cortometraggio al fine di farvi un idea migliore del progetto.

“SOAP”

(Un corto di Diego Placidi: soggetto)

Italia inizio del novecento, un piccolo paese in una vallata. Nella piccola chiesa Mariangela, una donna di quasi quarant’anni, prega in ginocchio davanti l’altare. Il viso per metà è coperto da un velo. Chiede perdono. Finito di pregare, claudicante si dirige all’uscita della chiesa.

Un uomo ben vestito, porta con se una valigia di cartone, percorre la strada sterrata, tra il bosco che porta all’ingresso del paese, in lontananza un canto. Incontra sul suo camino Mariangela, si presenta come maresciallo. Le chiede dove sia il presidio dei carabinieri (o locanda). Rapidamente gli dà indicazioni e si allontana.

Due lavandaie sono intente a lavare i panni nel fiume (Susanna la più giovane e Valeria). Una terza (Giorgia) vicino ad un calderone sul fuoco che mescola lenzuola nell’acqua calda e canta. Valeria fa riferimento a delle sparizioni di uomini, mentre guarda il piccolo pezzo di sapone rimastogli. Nel frattempo è arrivata Mariangela che gli dice che devono preparare dell’altro sapone.

Nella notte il maresciallo si aggira per il bosco con una lanterna ad olio. Tra gli alberi, come delle lucciole delle luci, appaiono e scompaiono. Dagli alberi sbuca Giorgia, chiede se cerca compagnia. Di seguito Valeria e Susanna. Girano intorno all’uomo. Sopraggiunge Mariangela, lo colpisce violentemente col suo bastone. Caduto interra, esclusa Mariangela, le tre lavandaie colpiscono ripetutamente il maresciallo finchè non perde conoscenza.

In un piccolo casale diroccato. Susanna vicino ad un calderone, poco distante Valeria vicino ad una pompa a mano e Giorgia, ha le maniche alzate e si notano della ustioni, di fianco una tavolaccio su cui è ben legato il maresciallo con una specie di grosso ago. Le tre gestiscono una specie di marchingegno che servirà ad estrarre il grasso dall’uomo. Mariangela seduta in disparte, ora non ha il velo sul viso e si vedono delle brutte cicatrici, e spiega che il grasso umano è la materia per fare il miglior sapone.

Il maresciallo chiede perché lo facciano, e raccontano (con interventi di flashback) le varie violenze subite: Valeria una violenza psicologica, Giorgia è stata evidentemente ustionata, la giovane Susanna è stata abusata e Mariangela picchiata, ma ha ucciso il suo compagno. Si rivela anche che il maresciallo, nei sui pensieri ha fato violenza e ucciso la propria compagna. Verrà ucciso da un impeto di rabbia da Susanna.

Il giorno dopo nella chiesa le quattro donne sono intente a pregare e farsi perdonare da Dio. Nelle loro preghiere, specie in quella di Mariangela, raccontano che avrà molto da perdonargli finchè le cose non cambieranno, e le donne saranno rispettate.

(Ispirato alle prime serial killer italiane, appunto delle lavandaie, che realmente uccidevano uomini e con il loro grasso ne facevano sapone. In modo per raccontare la sempre attuale violenza sulle donne, in un modo diverso.)

"A little thriller that tells the violence against women"

SOAP is a short film that wants to use the film medium to never stops telling a topic always and more current as that of violence against women.

This short film is inspired by true events in the early 1900s in Italy, which is the first Italian serial killer of laundresses killing men and with their fat made SOAP.

(A peak point: enter the starting point of the SOAP made with grease is not to be a reference to the movie Fight Club, because the record of the time tells that.)

Why this crowdfunding: In Italy, is not a criticism, it is very hard to produce a feature film, a short film even more, because it is not taken much into consideration as an artistic form of narrative.

Your support would help us support the various costs of production: from the rental of equipment, the crew, the actors to consider the costs of subscribing to various festivals. On the latter, in fact, this short film will be writing to both minor and major festivals, and that these may be subsequently disclosed, so also the message, that with humility we want to convey.

In the end your support will be rewarded depending on your contribution. We looked for a certain balance between rewards (shipping included) and the scope for the project. Nothing exceptional, top range, but we hope that they can still be of your liking.

"SOAP"

Early 20th-century Italy, a small town in a valley. In the little church Ray, a woman of nearly forty years, prays on his knees before the altar. Half face covered by a veil. Asking for forgiveness. Finished praying, one heading to the exit of the Church.

A well-dressed man, carries a cardboard suitcase, take the dirt road in the forest that leads to the entrance of the village in the distance a chant. In its chimney Mariangela, comes as Marshal. He asks her where she is the garrison of the carabinieri (or Inn). Quickly gives him directions and walking away.

Two washerwomen are busy washing clothes in the River (Susanna the youngest e Valeria). A third (Giorgia) near a cauldron on the fire that mixes sheets in hot water and sings. Valeria refers to the disappearances of men, while watching his little bar of SOAP. Meanwhile came Mariangela who tells him that they must prepare the other SOAP.

In the night the Marshal wanders around the woods with a lantern with oil. Through the trees, like fireflies lighting, appear and disappear. The trees comes Georgia, asks whether search company. Here Valeria and Susanna. Revolve around the man. Mariangela arrives, hits him violently with his stick. Fallen Earth, excluding the three laundresses Marshal Mariangela repeatedly strike until he loses consciousness.

In a small house in ruins. Susanna near a cauldron, near Valeria near a hand pump and Giorgia, has the sleeves raised and you notice the burns, alongside a battered table on which is well tied the Marshal with a large needle. The three manage a sort of contraption that will extract the fat from the man. Mariangela sitting on the sidelines, now has the veil over her face and you see some bad scars, and explains that the human fat is the stuff to make the best SOAP.

Marshall wonders why they do it, and tell (with flashbacks) the various violence: Valeria a psychological violence, Giorgia was obviously burned, young Susanna was abused and Mariangela nosedive, but killed her Companion. It also reveals that Marshall, in his thoughts he fate violence and killed his partner. Will be killed by a fit of rage by Susanna.

The next day in the Church the four women are busy praying and be forgiven by God. In their prayers, especially in that of Paul, recount that will have much to forgive him as long as things are not going to change, and women will be respected.

(Inspired by the first Italian serial killer of laundresses, who really killed men and with their fat made SOAP. So to tell the current violence against women, in a different way.)
