Salve sono Massimiliano Mannucci, vi ricordate di Ossigeno?

Ossigeno è il nome del progetto di raccolta fondi per i bambini del Nepal che l'anno scorso, grazie ad alcune donazioni ci ha permesso di contribuire alla ricostruire della scuola elementare del villaggio di Raluka, nella regione del Nuwakot.

Inoltre con parte delle donazioni  abbiamo acquistato indumenti invernali per 500 famiglie di Ghorka e supportato le attività della ONG nepalese Heartbeat.

La Heart Beat fornisce a circa 60 bambini di strada di Kathmandu cibo, educazione ed un riparo per la notte.

Tra i progetti che sta sviluppando vi sono:

1) Un rifugio notturno con 20 posti letto..2) Una scuola su ruote per insegnare musica, arte, inglese, matematica e computer 3) il Programma Mentore, con il quale i bambini possono trovare adulti disposti ad ascoltarli ed a guidarli 4) Il Caffe della Gioventù, che serve a sostenere economicamente i progetti e dove viene insegnato un mestiere. 5) Tè Gratis: ogni martedì mattina i volontari si recano nelle zone più povere di Kathmandu ed offrono Tè e panini a chi vive in strada 6) Vendita di Momo (ravioli fritti o bolliti) a singoli e negozi 7) Inserimento dei bambini nella comunità, perché molti problemi legati ai bambini di strada sono dovuti al loro isolamento dalla società. Oltre a tutti questi progetti relativi a Kathmandu la Heart-beat sta ricostruendo alcune scuole distrutte dal terremoto.

Insieme ai nostri donatori siamo riusciti ad arrivare dove gli aiuti internazionali non sono ancora giunti.

Chi l'anno scorso ha contribuito sa che i suoi soldi sono realmente pervenuti a chi erano stati destinati, senza disperdersi in passaggi burocratici e ha potuto constatare che abbiamo realizzato i progetti che ci eravamo prefissati, come ho potuto constatare nell'aprile 2016, quando sono tornato in Nepal (naturalmente a mie spese).

Tutti insieme ce l'abbiamo fatta e un altro villaggio ha chiesto il nostro aiuto. 

Chi era scettico ed è rimasto fuori per vedere come sarebbe andata, mi auguro che quest'anno si faccia avanti,  potendo contare sulla certezza che i suoi soldi arriveranno nelle mani giuste.

Il nostro nuovo obbiettivo è quello di ricostruire 3 aule della scuola elementare Sundaradevi del villaggio di Tupche, nella regione del Nuwakot, la parte maggiormente colpita  dal terremoto del 2015.

Qualcuno si chiederà perché ricostruiamo proprio le scuole elementari? 

Cerchiamo di aiutare i più deboli, i più piccoli e le loro famiglie (quelli che ancora una famiglia ce l'hanno, dato che durante i terremoti sono morte più di 9.000 persone) in modo che chi ha perso la propria possa trovare nella scuola una protezione, un rifugio, una guida (sapete quanti bambini sono spariti, rapiti, venduti ed usati in diversi modi perché rimasti soli e senza protezione), cosicché la scuola diventi un punto di riferimento per tutta la comunità.

Child survivors of the Nepal earthquake are being sold to British families to work as domestic slaves for only 5.250 £, according to an investigation.

(Secondo alcune indagini investigative alcuni bambini sopravvissuti al terremoto del Nepal sono stati venduti a famiglie britanniche come schiavi/domestici per 5.250 sterline).

Quindi vogliamo aiutare un altro villaggio? Io lo voglio ed andrò avanti.

Abbiamo gia' donato 400 euro per avviare i lavori ma non sono sufficienti per acquistare porte, finestre e tutte le attrezzature per completare  la realizzazione delle aule.

Non temete di poter contribuire anche con pochi euro, perché se siamo tanti possiamo realizzare anche questo progetto e godere della incredula felicità di persone aiutate da sconosciuti che vivono dall'altra parte del mondo.

Hello i am Massimiliano Mannucci, do you remember Ossigeno?

Ossigeno is the name of the project fundraising for children in Nepal. Last year, thanks to the money we raised, we managed to contribute to the rebuilding of a primary school in Raluka,  Nuwakot region.

With part of the donations we bought some winter clothes for 500 families in Ghorka and supported the activities of the Nepalese ONG Heartbeat.

HeartBeat provide education, food and accommodation for about 60 deprived children.

The ongoing developing projects of the organization are:

A night bed dorm with 20 beds

A travelling school on wheels to teach music, art, English, math and computer 

Mentor Programs where children can find adults who are able to listen and help them.

The Youth Cafè that economically sustains the projects and where there is opportunity to learn a job.

Free tea  every Tuesday morning offered by  volunteers who are going in the poorest parts of Kathmandu and offering tea and sandwhiches.

Providing food (momo-a kind of fried or boiled ravioli) to shops.

Helping to connect and reintroduce younger people back in society

As well as all these developing projects in Kathmandu, Heart-beat is reconstructing schools destroyed by the earthquake.

With our donators we arrived where international help didn’t

Those  who  contributed last year know that their donation  went straight to the cause without passing through the hands of  bureaucracy. When I came back to Nepal (on my expense, of course) I saw that the targets we set ourselves were met.

All together we did it and another village has asked for our help.

I wish  this year that the people who were skeptical about where their donation would be spent can count on us that their money is in the right hands.

Our new target is to rebuild 3 classrooms of the primary school Sundaradevi of Tupche in Nuwakot region, one of the  most affected by the earthquake in 2015.

Why are we re-building the primary schools? 

We try to help the most vulnerable and their families, the most vulnerable being children. We want them to have access to safe and protected housing, schools, and to help keep the existing families together. 9000 people lost their lives to the earthquake and many children have suffered, been raped, sold and abused and many are still left undiscovered. The school will be a landmark for the community helping everyone to build a new future.

So, do we want to help another village? Of course I want to, and I will!

We have already donated  400€ to start working  but it’s not enough to purchase doors, windows and all the equipment needed to complete the classrooms.

Don’t be afraid to contribute even with a few euros because when we are many we can succeed in this project and see the disbelief of the people helped so much by strangers who are living on the other side of the world.
