Parte da qui il nuovo corto di Rob von Gallandt,  Due porte. con le prevendite, infatti ogni contributo a partire da 10 euro riceverà una copia del film finito prima di essere rilasciato e pubblicato. Ed è proprio con il vostro contributo su questo CROWDFUNDING-Produzioni dal basso per un proggetto cinematografico che dovrà esser fatto a tutti i costi che spero di raggiungere il mio obbiettivo.  Infatti per avvicinarmi ed assicurane la realizzazione ho messo in vendita la mia amatissima automobile che con me ha già fatto il giro del mondo per venire dall'Australia fino qui in Italia . Quanti ricordi con essa... la mia carissima Lola.
Ma la passione, quella vera non ha prezzo. Ci consuma, ci porta a vivere così intensamente che spesso perdiamo il contatto con la realtà e che allo stesso tempo  anima frammenti di vite che noi, gli story tellers, dipingiamo sui grandi schermi creando storie incredibili ed affascinanti solo per ottenere un'approvazione da voi, gli spettatori e gli amanti del cinema.
"Due porte" è un cortometraggio, una storia semplice, tratta da una breve narrazione di uno scrittore americano, Frank Stockton, scritta nel 1880 e pubblicata su una rivista di allora. L'ho trovata affascinante, bella ed attuale e l'ho interamente riadattata ai giorni d'oggi e in una comunità di clochards di una qualsiasi città. Una storia d'amore che affronta un tema che è vivo nelle nostre anime dagli albori dell' umanità. Nella sua drammaticità si svelerà un dilemma corneliano, dove nella scelta di due uniche opzioni nessuna delle due si rivelerà vantaggiosa. Il finale darà senza dubbio vita a riflessioni e dibattiti di controversia da parte degli spettatori, ma è intesamente voluto così proprio dall'originale creatore della storia, Frank Stockton ed è proprio questo che rende questa storia così unica e particolarmente interessante allungandone l'interesse anche a svariati giorni dopo la visione del film. 
In questo film, Le due porte reciterà un cast di  giovani attori e attrici fenomenali, già ricchi di premi vinti, con i quali sono onorato di realizzare e dirigere questo progetto  che  è complementato dal supporto di maestranze, anch'esse varie volte premiate durante le loro lunghe carriere professionali, ed è con questa troupe che mi imbarco in questo mio primo vero progetto cinematografico italiano.Due porte sarà girato con in cinema super 35 4K che oggi giorno la migliore attrezzatura disponibile per assicurarne una fotografia particolarmente bella e desiderata dalla natura stessa della storia. 
Inizio proprio così, con un "corto" perchè cosi deve esser fatto, e fatto bene sarà.
Dedico questa mia prima opera cinematografica italiana ad un direttore della fotografia dal quale ho imparato una cosa importantissima per me ormai cinquantottenne:  la vera passione per il cinema,  mio padre Fernando Gallandt (AIC, ACS) Roma 1929- Australia 2013

NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

It starts here, with your donation or as I'd like to call it with the pre-sell of this film, TWO DOORS. An adaptation I wrote from a short story by Frank Stockton,THE LADY OR THE TIGER, written in 1880 in the Unitd States and published on a magazine then. It became  an example of the perfect short story and today is considered a classic. No one until now dared to turn it in to a cinematic experience. I saw an opportunity to do this to prove my skills and talent to an industry that until now has been waiting for something like this from me. It will be shot in Rome Italy in a comunity of Clochard, modern time homeless people. The pre-sale consist in buying a copy of this film before it's completed and you can do this by donating any amount of money you feel confortable right here. The pledges range from 10-5000 euros or dollars if you prefer and each pledge will have incentives and prizes as well as a copy of the finished film as soon as is completed and before its released to the festivals nationally and internationally. To explain the energy this film has created, it would be like living  the dream itself.  an incredible cast of very experienced, known and professional italian actors has stepped forward to assure this project will have the performance it needs to be noticed by film critics at festivals. Names of tecnitians that have worked with the best directors in Italy and abroad have already put their name, experience and skills to help realise this project. And every time someone calls me to offer their time and talent on this film I feel moved and touched and surprised that so many people remember my name through the contribution my father, a well known director of photography made through his career in the italian film industry. TWO DOORS will be made the best possible way it can be made. It's been written in a way that it wont cost too much money, and although most everyone will work for a dollar, I need to find that dollar.   To aid this i have put my beloved car up for sale, and I would do more if I could, but that is all I own. The film will be shot two times, in Italian and in English, then i will cut two identical films one in Italian  and the other in English. Iìm not a great supporter of subtitles or dubbing. I am a music composer as well, so I will write the musical score for this film as well.  I really want it to be a showcast of all my artistry compacted in to this 30 minutes short film. Then it will be the world to judge.  All I ask is that I'd be given that opportunity, Cinema and film making has been a pasion of mine since I can remember, since I used to run away from home to join secretly my father in the various studios in Rome where he was working on sets of films that have become classics. Films like: Barbarella, The battle of Britain,  Django, Trinity is still my name and so many more. My father passed away almost 2 years ago in Australia without seeing me achieving and reaching my goal, but I can feel his presence next to me here in Rome, where he started and made so many movies. He's guideing me to do it right this time. You can help too.
