25 years ago. The worst crime on European soil after WWII. Srebrenica Genocide. On the 25th anniversary we launch a crowd fund to turn one of the destroyed village of Srebrenica into an Eco sustainable village.

Our project is at a time of vital historical importance for Europe and humanity as a whole. Faced with the economic crisis, the spread of nationalism, xenophobic movements, violations of human rights, wars and climate change, it seems important to us to put the world before our life experiences. We often ask ourselves, why us? Why were the lives of 8.372 people taken on that 11 July 1995? In order for our loved ones not to have died in vain, Srebrenica must become a warning to the whole of humanity of where nationalism and religious fanaticism lead and what the consequences are.

Srebrenica must be a ray of light showing people that despite so much pain you can return to live together peacefully,  understanding that the richness of humanity lies  in diversity and mutual respect. Srebrenica is like a North Star lighting the way in dark nights, showing the human being how to live in harmony and accord to the natural elements of the planet Earth, in a time in which the virtual wins over the real, and the secondary needs over the primary. In a moment in which nature and its sudden climate changes send us small alarms..so that in the future, instead of the several slogans such as “Never Forget Srebrenica”, “Remember Srebrenica”, we will finally be able to say “Srebrenica: Lesson Learned!”

The project consists in rebuilding a completely destroyed and uninhabited village in the municipality of Srebrenica. It is  the village of Kasapic, 13 km from the city center, sitting at the foothills of the mountain Kak, enclosed between the river Jadar and the stream Kasapic. We do study the history, but we often forget that we are writing the history. Each of us has the great power to make a change with lite actions. Let's build the history together.

The project
Five Osat’s old-style houses: First we think important to build following the typical building style of our area. It’d been passed on through generations, but now all traces are lost. It is a simple style that makes use of the raw materials that our ancestors could find in their vicinity…boulders and stones, firs, beeches, wool.

The mill:

Until 50 years ago, it would have been impossible to think of life without a small dam on the river and a water mill…in the Kasapic area, there were 5 active mills before the war. During the siege of Srebrenica, the mills, which until then were used only to produce flour, were converted into small power plants to cope with the lack of electricity in the city.. In the village of Kasapic there is still a dam and the foundations of one of the mills. We plan to clean up the dam again and rebuild the mill, which will have a dual function… on one hand the conventional function of grinding and producing flour, on the other hand that of producing electricity for the three houses. So our mill will do two jobs with a single effort. On the one hand it is projected into the past and aimed at the preservation of ancient traditions and flavours, on the other hand it is projected towards an ecological future of respect for nature and its resources.

Sadrvan e simije: The sadrvans are small wooden structures, typical of Bosnia. They are generally employed as summer parlours where to dine and have some coffee.  On the inside the typical simija is found. It is a low round table, from which you eat. Usually there are neither benches or chairs, but mattresses on the ground on which you eat semi lying down or crouched, basically like the Romans did. 

Agora’: we are also planning to build a central area dedicated to hosting artistic performances, conferences, seminars and workshops. It will also be built in wood, following the typical style of Osat.

The village will be used to develop the following activities:

- sustainable tourism;

- biodynamic agriculture and farming;

- artistic and cultural workshops and events;

- school of nature for children.

We already started with the construction and we hope to finish for the spring 2021!

Prijatelj Prirode Oaza Mira is an NGO who strive for the protection of our natural and cultural heritage, in which we recognize the fudamental values which we need to overcome the boundaries between peoples, ethnic groups and cultures, in order to create true peace, both social and natural.

25 anni fa. Il peggior crimine commesso su suolo Europeo dopo la seconda guerra mondiale. Per il 25esimo anniversario iniziamo una raccolta fondi per trasformare uno dei tanti villaggi distrutti di Srebrenica in un villaggio eco sostenibile. 

Il nostro progetto si colloca in un momento storico di vitale importanza per l'Europa e l'umanità intera. Di fronte alla crisi economica, al divulgarsi di nazionalismi, movimenti xenophobi, violazioni di diritti umani, guerre e cambiamenti climataci, ci sembra importanti mettere il mondo di fronte alla nostra esperienza di vita.

Spesso ci domandiamo, come mai proprio a noi? Come mai le vite di 8.329 persone innocenti furono prese in quel 11 luglio 1995 a Potocari? Affinchè i nostri cari non siano morti invano, bisogna che Srebrenica diventi un monito per l'umanità intera di dove nazionalismo e fanatismo religioso portano e quali sono le conseguenze. Srebrenica deve essere un raggio di luce che mostri alle persone, che nonostante tanto dolore si può ritornare a convivere pacificamente, ad apprendere che nella diversità e rispetto reciproco sta la ricchezza dell'umanità. Srebrenica è come una stella Polare che illumina il cammino nelle notti buie, mostrando all'essere umano come vivere in armonia e sintonia con gli elementi naturali del pianeta terra, in un momento in cui il mondo virtuale prevale sul reale, in cui i bisogni secondari prevalgono su quelli primari... in un momento in cui la natura, e i suoi repentini cambiamenti climatici, ci lanciano piccoli allarmi... affinché domani, al posto dei vari slogan tipo „Never Forget Srebrenica“, „Remember Srebrenica“, possiamo finalmente dire, „Srebrenica: Lesson Learned!“

 Il Progetto consiste nel ricostruire un villaggio completamente distrutto e inabitato nella municipalità di Srebrenica. Si tratta del villaggio di Kasapic, a 13 km dal centro città, alle pendici della montagna Kak, racchiuso tra il fiume Jadar e il torrente Kasapic. Spesso diciamo quando sia importante studiare la storia, ma ancor più spesso ci dimentichiamo che in qualsiasi momento della nostro vita stiamo scrivendo la storia. È il momento di costruire la storia insieme! 

Il progetto

Tre casette in stile antico dell'Osat: per prima cosa riteniamo importante costruire seguendo lo stile di costruzione tipico della nostra zona, tramandato di generazione in generazione, ma del quale purtroppo oggi non ne è rimasta più traccia. Si tratta di uno stile semplice che fa uso dei materiali primari che i nostri avi potevano trovare nelle proprie vicinanze... Sassi e pietre, abeti, faggi, lana... 

Il mulino: fino a 50 anni fa era impossibile pensare la vita senza una piccola diga su un torrente ed un mulino... nella zona di Kasapic, prima della guerra erano presenti 5 mulini attivi. Durante l'assedio di Srebrenica i mulini, che fino allora venivano utilizzati solamente per produrre farina, furono convertiti in picole centrali elettriche per far fronte alla mancanza di energia elettrica nella città. Nel villaggio di kasapic è ancora presente la diga e le fondamenta di uno dei mulini. Intendiamo ripulire di nuovo la diga e ricostruire il mulino, il quale avrà una duplice funzione... da una parte quella classica di macinare e produrre farina, d'altra parte quella di produrre energia elettrica per le tre casette. Cosi' il nostro mulino farà due lavori con un solo sforzo. Da una parte proiettato al passato e al mantenimento di tradizioni e sapori antichi, dall'altra parte proiettato ad un futuro ecologista di rispetto della natura e delle sue risorse.

Sadrvan e simije: i sadrvan sono piccole costruzioni in legno, tipiche della Bosnia. Vengono generalmente usate come salotti estivi per pranzare o bere il caffè. All'interno presentano la tipica simija, un tavolo rotondo, basso dal quale si mangia. Generalmente non ci sono ne panche, ne sedie, ma materassi a terra, e si mangia sostanzialmente alla „romana“, semi sdraiato o accovacciati.

Agorà: inoltre prevediamo la costruzione di un luogo centrale dedito ad ospitare spettacoli artistici, conferenze, seminari e laboratori. Verrà anch'esso costruito in legno, seguendo lo stile tipico dell'Osat.  Il villaggio sarà utilizzato per le seguenti attività: 

- turismo sostenibile; 

- agricoltura e allevamento biodinamici: 

- laboratori ed eventi culturali e artistici;

- scuola della natura per bambini. 

Abbiamo già iniziato i lavori e speriamo di portarli a termine entro la primavera 2021!  Prijateli Prirode Oaza Mira è un'associazione impegnata nella protezione dei patrimoni naturali e culturali bosniaci. Nella Cultura e nella Natura riconosciamo i valori fondamentali per oltrepassare i conflitti tra popoli, etnie e culture, grazie ai quali diviene possibile gettare le basi per la costruzione della vera pace sociale, in armonia con la natura.

Le projet de la cité de l’espoir par Irvin Mujcic, srebrenica

Il y a 25 ans. Le pire crime sur le sol européen après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Génocide de
Srebrenica. À l'occasion du 25e anniversaire, nous lançons un fonds participatif pour transformer
l'un des villages détruits de Srebrenica en un village éco-durable.
Notre projet se situe à un moment d'une importance historique vitale pour l'Europe et l'humanité
dans son ensemble. Face à la crise économique, à la propagation du nationalisme, aux mouvements
xénophobes, aux violations des droits de l'homme, aux guerres et au changement climatique, il nous
semble important de mettre le monde avant nos expériences de vie. Nous nous demandons souvent
pourquoi nous? Pourquoi la vie de 8 372 personnes a-t-elle été enlevée ce 11 juillet 1995? Pour que
nos êtres chers ne soient pas morts en vain, Srebrenica doit devenir un avertissement à l’ensemble
de l’humanité de la direction du nationalisme et du fanatisme religieux et de ses conséquences.
Srebrenica doit être un rayon de lumière montrant aux gens que malgré tant de douleur, vous
pouvez retourner vivre ensemble pacifiquement, en comprenant que la richesse de l'humanité réside
dans la diversité et le respect mutuel. Srebrenica est comme une étoile du Nord éclairant le chemin
dans les nuits sombres, montrant à l'être humain comment vivre en harmonie et en accord avec les
éléments naturels de la planète Terre, à une époque où le virtuel l'emporte sur le réel et les besoins
secondaires. le primaire. À un moment où la nature et ses brusques changements climatiques nous
envoient de petites alarmes ... de sorte qu'à l'avenir, au lieu de plusieurs slogans tels que «N'oublie
jamais Srebrenica», «Souviens-toi de Srebrenica», nous pourrons enfin dire «Srebrenica : Leçon
apprise!"

Le projet consiste à reconstruire un village complètement détruit et inhabité dans la municipalité de
Srebrenica. C'est le village de Kasapic, à 13 km du centre-ville, assis au pied de la montagne Kak, enclavé entre la rivière Jadar et le ruisseau Kasapic. Nous étudions l'histoire, mais nous oublions souvent que nous écrivons l'histoire. Chacun de nous a le grand pouvoir de faire un changement
avec des actions légères. Construisons l'histoire ensemble.

Le projet
Cinq maisons de style ancien d'Osat: Nous pensons d'abord qu'il est important de construire en
suivant le style de construction typique de notre région. Il a été transmis à travers les générations,
mais maintenant toutes les traces sont perdues. C'est un style simple qui utilise les matières
premières que nos ancêtres pouvaient trouver à proximité… rochers et pierres, sapins, hêtres, laine.
Le moulin:
Jusqu'à il y a 50 ans, il aurait été impossible de penser à la vie sans un petit barrage sur la rivière et
un moulin à eau… dans la région de Kasapic, il y avait 5 moulins en activité avant la guerre.
Pendant le siège de Srebrenica, les moulins, qui jusqu'alors n'étaient utilisés que pour produire de la
farine, ont été convertis en petites centrales électriques pour faire face au manque d'électricité dans
la ville .. Dans le village de Kasapic il y a encore un barrage et les fondations de l'un des moulins.
Nous prévoyons d'assainir à nouveau le barrage et de reconstruire le moulin, qui aura une double
fonction… d'une part la fonction conventionnelle de broyage et de production de farine, d'autre part
celle de produire de l'électricité pour les trois maisons. Notre usine fera donc deux tâches avec un
seul effort. D'une part, il est projeté dans le passé et vise à la préservation des traditions et des
saveurs anciennes, d'autre part, il est projeté vers un avenir écologique de respect de la nature et de
ses ressources.
Sadrvan e simije: Les sadrvans sont de petites structures en bois, typiques de la Bosnie. Ils sont
généralement employés comme salons d'été où dîner et prendre un café. A l'intérieur se trouve la
simija typique. C'est une table ronde basse, à partir de laquelle vous mangez. Habituellement, il n'y
a ni bancs ni chaises, mais des matelas sur le sol sur lesquels vous mangez à moitié couché ou
accroupi, comme le faisaient les Romains.
Agora ’: nous prévoyons également de construire un espace central dédié à l’accueil de
performances artistiques, conférences, séminaires et ateliers. Il sera également construit en bois,
suivant le style typique d'Osat.
Le village sera utilisé pour développer les activités suivantes:
- tourisme durable;
- agriculture et élevage biodynamiques;
- ateliers et événements artistiques et culturels;
- école de la nature pour les enfants.

Nous avons déjà commencé la construction et nous espérons terminer pour le printemps 2021!
